Drivers on State Route 315 north of Home Road face overnight lane reductions and a full closure during the week of Oct. 25–31 for pipe repair, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation's (ODOT) weekly project report published by 1808Delaware.
SR 315 north of Home Road will be reduced to one lane from 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and again from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, until 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29. Between those restrictions, the road will close completely for pipe repair from 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. The posted detour follows SR 315, Home Road and U.S. 23 back to SR 315, or the reverse.
A longer disruption is coming to U.S. Route 42. The road north of Cackler Road will close starting Monday, Nov. 2, for 30 days for culvert replacement. ODOT's detour sends drivers along U.S. 42 to SR 229 to SR 61 to I-71 to U.S. 36/SR 37 and back to U.S. 42.
The Delaware County Engineer's Office flagged both the SR 315 and U.S. 42 projects in an Oct. 22 post on X, linking to ODOT's Delaware County traffic advisory page.
Two continuing projects also remain active in Delaware County. SR 229 east of Weiser Road has been closed since Oct. 19 for a 30-day bridge rehabilitation. The detour runs along U.S. 23 to SR 98 to SR 529 to SR 746 to U.S. 42 to SR 229. The I-71 northbound ramp to U.S. 36/SR 37 at the Sunbury Parkway interchange remains reduced to one lane through fall 2026.
The SR 257 culvert replacement between Ostrander Road/Warrensburg Road and SR 37, which closed Oct. 19, was scheduled to reopen at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.
All work is weather dependent. Drivers can check OHGO.com for current closures and traffic conditions.
