Orange Township is closing a section of the Glen Oak Trail starting Sept. 4 for about eight weeks of construction.

The closure affects the trail adjacent to Summersweet Circle, Sunflower Street and Scarlet Avenue, according to a notice posted on the township's website. No detour is available.

An eight-week timeline, weather permitting, would put the estimated reopening around late October. The township has not set a firm end date or described the scope of the work.
