Orange Township has permanently set its annual Trick-or-Treat on Oct. 31, ending years of shifting dates for Lewis Center-area families.

The Orange Township Board of Trustees voted in 2025 to lock the event on Halloween night every year, the township announced on its website on Sept. 2. Hours are 6–8 p.m.

Some years the date landed on Halloween. Some years it didn't. In 2023, Trick-or-Treat fell on Oct. 31. In 2025, the township scheduled it for Oct. 30, the night before Halloween. The new policy removes that annual guesswork.

This year, Trick-or-Treat falls on Oct. 31 from 6–8 p.m.

The township did not release details about the specific 2025 meeting at which the board voted or the vote count. Its Sept. 2 announcement said the early notice was meant to give families time to prepare and stock up on candy before the holiday.
