Drivers who use Plumb Road through Orange Township will need to find another way around starting Aug. 31. The road will be fully closed between Africa Road and S. Three B's & K Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day through Sept. 2, for a road repair project.
The closure affects a stretch that runs through four Delaware County townships: Berlin, Berkshire, Orange and Genoa.
The Delaware County Engineer's Office announced the three-day project on Aug. 26, posting the notice to its website and the office's X account. County Engineer Chris Bauserman's office did not specify a detour route in the announcement.
The six-hour daily closure window means the road will reopen to traffic each afternoon by 3 p.m. and remain open overnight. Drivers passing through during morning and early-afternoon hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday should use Africa Road or other connecting routes to bypass the work zone.
The full notice is available on the Delaware County Engineer's website. Residents with questions about the project can reach the engineer's office at 740-833-2400.
