A drive-through coffee chain with more than 700 locations nationwide planted its first Lewis Center stand at 6270 Pullman Drive on Aug. 24, right in front of Olentangy High School.

7 Brew, which serves coffees, energy drinks, smoothies, milkshakes and teas, is the second Delaware County location for the chain. The first opened earlier in 2026 at 1424 Sunbury Road in Delaware.

The Lewis Center stand is operated by Motley 7 Brew, a franchise group established in January 2023 by Tom Cook, Rick Nader, Orangewood Investments and other partners, according to 1808 Delaware. Nader serves as president of the franchise group, which has long-term plans to operate more than 350 stands.

Workers at the Pullman Drive location wave signs on the street to direct drivers into the blue-lit drive-through, the OHS Beacon student newspaper reported. The chain's stands typically place the building between two drive-through lanes, with customers placing orders directly with employees moving between vehicles rather than speaking into a menu-board microphone.

Early favorites at the location are the Blondie and the Ocean Breeze with 7 Energy and cold foam, according to the Beacon. The company claims more than 20,000 possible drink combinations.

Sabreen Osman-Shirwa, a junior at Olentangy High School who works at the stand, told the Beacon in a Tuesday, Sept. 8, article that the job has built strong bonds among the crew. "I feel as though going through community outreach events for long hours helped us bond and get to know each other," Osman-Shirwa said.

Sophomore Kya Sanders told the Beacon she prefers 7 Brew over Starbucks because of its broader non-coffee options.

The Lewis Center Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at the Pullman Drive location after rescheduling from the original Aug. 17 date. The exact rescheduled date was not listed in the chamber's posting.

7 Brew has grown rapidly since an investment group purchased the Arkansas-born chain in early 2020. It expanded from 38 stands in January 2023 to more than 700 across 38 states. The chain lists 49 Ohio locations. In June 2026, Yelp named 7 Brew the second-fastest-growing brand in Ohio, NBC4 reported.

A second nearby location is in the works. Nader told NBC4 in an Aug. 11 interview that a stand at 4087 W. Powell Road, on the site of a demolished Arby's, has an anticipated opening date of Sept. 21.
